CONNECTICUT – Connecticut shoppers will be able to buy now, pay later when purchasing holiday gifts from Target.
In a partnership with two entities – Sezzle and Affirm – the big box chain added the option, calling it “a convenient option during peak holiday season and throughout the year.”
According to Gemma Kubat, President of Retail and Financial Services at Target, “We know our customers want easy, affordable payment options that stay within their family’s budget. Through our partnerships with Affirm and Sezzle, Target is investing in new financial tools that make our shopping experiences more flexible and personalized to customer needs, just in time for the holiday season. “
Target officials said Sezzle and Affirm offer a range of payment options, timelines and services based on “customer eligibility” and depending on what is purchased and how long customers want. spread out payments.
This is how it works:
Sezzle divides each purchase into four interest-free payments over six weeks with no charge if paid on time. Customers must first apply with Sezzle, then purchase from Target.com or the Target app and use the Sezzle Virtual Card as a payment method at checkout. Sezzle can also be used with drive-ip and store pickup purchases.
Same day delivery with Shipt and to our stores via Apple Pay or Google Pay is also an option, officials said.
Sezzle graduated in 2019 from one of the Target Accelerator programs, which invites startups to come together for retail boot camps to grow their businesses and bring them to market.
For purchases over $ 100, Affirm offers a “pay at your own pace” option with monthly payments. Customers can apply with Affirm to get started, then shop online at Target.com and choose Affirm as their payment method at checkout. Affirm does not charge any late or hidden fees. Target officials said.
